Job summary

Abode Communities is seeking a Resident Services Coordinator to oversee community development activities at Los Angeles affordable housing sites. You will support residents with access to resources, intervene to prevent housing loss, and coordinate with social service agencies for light case management and youth programs.

The role emphasizes engagement, wellness, and aging-in-place goals across diverse populations, with occasional evenings and Saturdays required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; two years related experience in social work or related field.
• Ability to initiate and maintain effective, cooperative relationships with community organizations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred bilingual literacy in English and Spanish.
• Excellent public speaking and facilitation abilities.
• Availability to work some evenings and Saturdays.
• Proficiency with basic math and data interpretation; intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee community development activities under Beyond Homes initiatives at LA housing sites.
• Provide light case management and connect residents to social service agencies.
• Engage residents and promote wellness to reduce isolation and increase stability.
• Track programs and referrals using attendance records, notes, and ResidentConnect.
• Collaborate with partners to ensure permanent supportive housing best practices.
