Related Affordable in Chicago, IL, seeks an Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations for an affordable housing community. You will work with the Community Manager to maintain a welcoming environment for residents, handling admin tasks, resident relations, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in property management, familiarity with affordable housing programs, and experience with RealPage, OneSite, and JD Edwards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing.
• Familiarity with affordable housing programs (e.g., Project-Based Section 8, LIHTC) and compliance requirements.
• Experience with RealPage, OneSite, and JD Edwards (or similar property management software).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for creating great living experiences.
• Demonstrates confidentiality and navigates sensitive issues professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leasing activities, marketing, resident recertifications, and general admin duties to ensure efficient operations.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, aid rent collection, and manage delinquencies to maintain financial health.
• Address resident concerns promptly, fostering a positive living environment and organizing resident appreciation events.
• Ensure adherence to affordable housing program requirements and support compliance audits.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely property upkeep and a safe environment.
• Prepare reports to monitor community performance and identify areas for improvement.
