Job summary

Community Housing Innovations (CHI) in Newburgh, NY is seeking a part-time Resident Support Specialist to provide a safe, structured environment for residents and staff. The role requires supervising residents, enforcing site rules, and maintaining accurate documentation on shift. Shifts are Saturdays 4pm–12am, non-exempt with overtime eligibility.

Pay is $18.00 per hour. This role offers opportunities to develop crisis intervention and community support skills within a not-for-profit housing

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of residents, visitors, staff and property.
• Maintain documentation: logs, incident reports, turnover, census.
• Enforce CHI policies and regulations with residents.
• Perform bag searches and enforce intake rules as required.
• Prepare vacant units for new placements and coordinate with management.
