Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• National Provider BLS certification (AHA) required at hire.
• Texas RN license or Texas Graduate Nurse Permit at hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate required within 6 months of hire.
• Newly licensed nurses with 12 months of experience or less are eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

• Independently uses nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Care for a group of patients in Acute Care MedSurg while ensuring safety and quality.
• Comply with hospital policies and participate in care coordination.
