Job summary

Providence Health & Services invites applications for the Acute Care Resident RN - MedSurg at Covenant Hospital Plainview. The role provides independent nursing processes, planning, and hands-on care to a group of patients in a fast-paced setting.

Onsite position in Plainview, TX with weekend/holiday coverage as needed; requires Texas RN license or Texas Graduate Nurse Permit, NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months, and current BLS at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification at hire (American Heart Association).
• Texas RN license or Texas Graduate Nurse Permit at hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate within 6 months of hire.
• New graduates with 12 months of experience or less.

Responsibilities

• Independently uses the nursing process to safely and effectively care for a group of patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, identify outcomes and evaluate the patient's plan of care.
