Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resident Project Representative I to join our Building Engineering Services team. You will read plans, track progress, and ensure conformance to specifications while coordinating with contractors and the project team.

Responsibilities include daily field records, pay estimate support, progress meetings, and punch-list development in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent.
• Fundamental understanding of contracts and applicable construction codes.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs; identify discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specs, identifying conflicts.
• Maintain daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment and materials.
• Review materials for contract compliance and track quantities for pay estimates.
• Attend and chair progress meetings; oversee installation and testing.
• Develop punch lists and record documentation for engineer review.
• Support project audits and closeout; supervise junior staff and inspectors.
