HDR is seeking an on-site Resident Project Representative I in Texas to oversee multidisciplinary construction activities, read plans, manage records, and ensure contract compliance. The role emphasizes collaboration with contractors, inspectors, and project teams to drive smooth project delivery.

The position requires a degree in Engineering or Construction Technology, and a background in construction along with proficiency in Primavera or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Multidisciplinary construction experience on projects.
• Understanding of contracts and codes governing construction.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs, identifying conflicts.
• Team-oriented with strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Primavera or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and specs; identify discrepancies.
• Maintain daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment, materials.
• Review construction materials for contract compliance.
• Track quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptance.
• Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings.
• Observe installation and testing of equipment and systems.
• Identify nonconforming work and manage punch lists.
• Develop record docs for engineer review/acceptance.
• Assist with project audits/closeout.
• Supervise junior staff and coordinate with subconsultants.
