Job summary

HDR is seeking a motivated Senior Resident Project Representative to join our Building Engineering Services Group. You will provide on-site construction observation, documentation, quality oversight, and coordination to ensure projects meet contract documents and applicable standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 10 years of multi-disciplinary construction experience, strong communication, and the ability to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and in a field environment.
• Willingness to travel and work onsite at client locations.
• Sponsorship (visa) for US employment is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts.
• Maintain accurate daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Review construction materials for contract compliance.
• Track quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptance.
• Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings.
• Conduct observations of installation and acceptance testing of equipment and systems.
• Identify nonconforming work and develop project punch lists.
• Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance.
• Assist with project audit/closeout.
• Supervise junior Resident Project Representatives and construction inspectors.
