Job summary

Egis is seeking a Resident Project Representative to provide construction administration and observation services in the Western US. You will support multiple offices and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes while coordinating with clients, consultants, and regulators.

Daily reporting and rigorous record-keeping are essential. The role requires five years of experience in heavy civil transportation or airport projects, with comfort in materials testing and surveying.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a construction manager/inspector on transportation and/or airport projects.
• Understanding and familiarity with heavy civil construction projects, airport systems and operation.
• Prefer experience in construction materials testing and/or construction surveying.
• Proficiency in MS WORD and Excel along with excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes
• Coordinate and communicate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies
• Measure and record pay quantities
• Prepare daily reports
• Review the Contractor's schedule
• Perform Wage Rate compliance interviews and documentation
• Coordinate 3rd-party material testing inspections
• Review and provide input on potential change order issues
• Maintain project records
• Manage project photographic records
• Verification of construction staking surveys
