Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking an Activity Assistant in Richmond, VA to support the Resident Programs team in planning and executing engaging activities for residents. The role includes transporting residents as needed and supporting the Program Director with daily operations.

The position offers full-time hours with a benefits package that may include health, life, disability insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and additional voluntary benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living environment strongly preferred.
• Two years' experience strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills and general healthcare knowledge.
• Must have a clear and insurable driving record and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Programs team with planning, developing, and preparing activities and events.
• Conduct transportation for residents, including medical transport when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of community events and services and incorporate into activity schedules.
• Establish a welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff; promote teamwork.
• Monitor and adjust activities to ensure quality and consistency for residents.
• Other duties as assigned.
