The Hilltop at Blue River in Kansas City, MO is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare nutritious, appealing meals for residents in accordance with federal, state, and corporate guidelines. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and timely service.

You will support nutritional services, supervise staff in the director's absence, participate in meetings, and maintain a professional image while upholding resident rights and high standards of food service.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• The cook prepares, in a timely manner, nutritious and attractive meals and supplements for all residents according to Federal, State and Corporate requirements.
• Performs duties in a safe and sanitary manner.
• The cook supervises staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services.
• Attends meetings and in-services as required.
• Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adheres to Company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensures all patient/resident rights are protected.
