Job summary

Housing Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a Resident Mobility Counselor to oversee daily relocation tasks across multiple sites and work directly with residents to prepare and assist with relocation activities.

You will manage communications with clients and vendors while tracking data and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and a solutions-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in relocation, social services, or customer service is advantageous.
• Familiarity with rental assistance housing voucher programs is helpful.
• Must communicate effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with annual recertifications and lease compliance.
• Follow up on lease violations and provide guidance to resolve issues.
• Ensure smooth relocations and maintain operational efficiency.
• Coordinate site setup, vendor identification, and relocation files.
• Survey residents to understand relocation needs and preferences.
• Inventory tenant belongings and note issues like clutter or damage.
• Facilitate resident meetings and discuss rights and benefits of relocation.
• Prepare notices and ensure proper receipt documentation.
• Provide relocation counseling in compliance with regulations.
• Liaise between HOU, property management, clients, and residents.
• Deliver weekly/monthly reports to clients and management.
• Maintain relocation files, data tracking, and lottery lists.
