Job summary

Victorian Senior Care is seeking a dedicated dietary staff member to plan and prepare three nutritionally balanced meals daily for residents. The role involves writing menus, coordinating snacks, and ensuring food safety per NC guidelines while supporting residents' preferences and dietary needs.

Responsibilities include menu planning, recording substitutions, posting menus, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in food service.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must maintain cleanliness of kitchen within NC Environmental Health Standards.
• Must have an understanding of NC Rules and Regulations.
• Must have no substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program.
• Must have a clear SBI and DMV record and maintain them during period of employment.
• Must wear slip resistant shoes while working in dietary at all times.

Responsibilities

• Plan required menus with portions and snacks, ensuring availability for preparation and that residents receive three nutritionally adequate meals daily.
• Plan therapeutic menus per physicians' orders with a registered dietitian.
• Record menu substitutions on the calendar before serving.
• Post menus in kitchen for guidance of staff and provide to residents per home policy.
• Maintain up-to-date resident food preference lists.
• Prepare and serve three meals daily at regular hours with at least 10 hours between meals.
