Qualifications

• Must have experience in food service.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Must be able to Lift, Push, or Pull minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must wear slip resistant shoes while working in dietary at all times.

Responsibilities

• Plan required menus with portions and a snack to ensure residents receive three meals daily.
• Plan therapeutic menus per physicians' orders with a registered dietitian.
• Record substitutions on menu calendar before food is served.
• Post menus in kitchen for staff guidance and residents.
• Maintain up-to-date preference lists for each resident.
• Prepare and serve three meals daily at regular hours with at least 10 hours between meals.
• Ensure hot foods stay hot and cold foods stay cold.
• Prepare nutritional bag lunches for day-program residents away from home.
• Take inventory and purchase food and supplies within the budget and policy.
• Check deliveries, sign invoices and receipts for records.
• Support resident dignity, confidentiality, and safety.
• Follow all home policies and emergency procedures.
• Participate in job-related continuing education as required.
