AMH is seeking a Resident Maintenance Specialist to ensure timely maintenance and repair of single-family rental properties. You will manage and prioritize tenant requests, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and uphold cost controls and asset preservation.

This role requires practical knowledge of home systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to work weekends/evenings when needed. Experience with property management software is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of construction/maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC basic skills.
• Experience with Customer Service Software, VOIP, CRM, InContact, Balto is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Oversee maintenance work across a portfolio from start to finish.
• Assist in managing Capital Improvement Projects and vendors.
• Coordinate with supervisors and schedulers to meet service order metrics.
• Review and document maintenance requests; assign work orders.
• Approve vendor bids and manage change orders as needed.
• Diagnose problems and determine cost-effective solutions.
• Provide clear instructions to vendors for resolution of issues.
