Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, LP in Irving, TX is seeking a Resident Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of Field Schedulers and Resident Maintenance Specialists in the assigned territory.

You will oversee scheduling, performance coaching, and vendor coordination to ensure timely completion of work orders, with a focus on customer service and operational excellence. Strong leadership and maintenance knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five years progressive responsibility in a maintenance/call center environment preferred.
• Experience leading teams is required.
• Scheduling/Dispatching experience is highly desirable.
• Understanding of construction, maintenance, or property management essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong planning, organizing, negotiating, and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Solid customer service, quality, and results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Field Schedulers and Resident Maintenance Specialists, including hiring and onboarding new team members.
• Ensure proper scheduled coverage of the team to meet organizational needs.
• Monitor team performance and conduct coaching or development sessions as needed.
• Communicate objectives and oversee metrics, working with the team to achieve outcomes.
• Review vendor bid submissions to ensure alignment with expectations and asset needs.
• Provide support to resolve issues and ensure work orders are completed satisfactorily.
• Lead meetings aligned with seasonal and operational trends, addressing business needs.
• Collaborate with departmental teams to complete service needs within the territory.
