Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, LP is seeking a Field Manager to guide Field Technicians, overseeing scoping, turns, vendor work, maintenance repairs, and safety at AMH properties. You will supervise performance, training, and quality control to deliver excellent service.

The role requires 6+ years in residential/property maintenance, HVAC experience, and strong MS Office/iPad proficiency. A valid driver's license and OSHA knowledge are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Associate degree or technical training is a plus.
• 1–2 years of supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Minimum six years in residential/property maintenance or related field.
• Experience with basic hand and power tools.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); iPad preferred.
• HVAC experience required; EPA or Type II preferred where applicable.
• Experience with FiledOne and CRM is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required; OSHA safety knowledge expected.
• Proficiency in English; basic measurement and calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide team with coaching, feedback, and training for improvements.
• Manage Tenant Turn move-out and align inventory to standards.
• Inspect work-in-progress to meet specs and company standards.
• Report status updates and costs in CRM and Yardi systems.
• Process mobile work orders from the Maintenance Scheduler timely.
• Respond to on-call emergency service requests.
• Perform light self-work at properties using tools and ladders.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lb, and climb ladders for tasks.
• Take basic measurements and perform calculations.
