Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University is seeking a Student Resident Assistant to support residents, foster community, and uphold campus policies within Housing & Residence Life.

The RA must be enrolled as a student, maintain at least a 2.0 GPA, work a minimum of three shifts per week, and participate in trainings and on-call coverage.

This on-campus role develops leadership, communication, and teamwork while coordinating with staff and campus partners.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in at least one course at FGCU.
• Must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
• Must be in and maintain good conduct standing with the university.
• Must be able to work a minimum of three (3) shifts a week (9 hours total).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model and representative of Housing & Residence Life and the University at all times.
• Support the mission, vision, and residential curriculum of Housing & Residence Life.
• Build community within the assigned residence hall, floor, or area through engagement, programming, and resident connections.
• Enforce and educate residents on University policies, the Community Guidebook, and the Student Code of Conduct.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies while serving in an on-call rotation, maintaining required response times.
