Florida Gulf Coast University is seeking a Student Resident Assistant to support residents, build community, and uphold university policies within Housing and Residence Life. RAs serve as role models and respond to incidents while on-call.

The role requires active FGCU enrollment, a minimum 2.0 GPA, and the ability to work at least three shifts per week plus weekends and nights. Training, meetings, and administrative duties are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in at least one FGCU course.
• Must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
• Must be able to work a minimum of three shifts a week (9 hours).
• Must maintain good conduct standing with the university.

Responsibilities

• Build community within the assigned residence hall through engagement and programming.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies during on-call rotations.
• Attend trainings, weekly staff meetings, and major department or university events.
• Complete administrative tasks including reports, room checks, health and safety inspections, and desk shifts.
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors and collaborate with staff and campus partners.
