Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University is seeking a Student Residence Life Team Assistant who will reside on campus and will join the residential life staff leadership. The RLTA will demonstrate effective communication, leadership, and administration while understanding the needs of others.

This role acts as a mentor and reliable team member within the residence life community. The position supports administrative tasks, housing operations, student development, events, and training activities,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled as a degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student at FGCU at time of hire and throughout the appointment.
• Minimum of two semesters of experience as a Resident Assistant.
• Must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Must be in good academic and conduct standing with the University.

Responsibilities

• Attends and participates in team meetings and communicates progress to supervisor.
• Assists the supervisor with administrative assignments and Residence Life operations.
• Maintains Residence Life documentation and records.
• Coordinates with Campus Reservations to secure spaces for programs and events.
• Supports Resident Assistants and Housing staff with training and development.
• Assists with events, health and safety inspections, and check-in/out processes.
• Provides front desk coverage and on-call rotations as needed.
• Assists with planning and execution of large-scale programs and community events.
