Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Bloomington, IN seeks an Engage Life Coordinator to design and execute programs that enhance residents’ lives. You’ll collaborate with residents to create meaningful activities, manage schedules, and assist with fitness and community events.

Ideal candidates have coordination experience, strong English communication, and the ability to drive as needed. This on-site role offers opportunities for growth and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of related experience coordinating, planning, and executing group activities and events.
• Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing, with residents, staff, and vendors.
• Able to proficiently operate standard office equipment.
• Must possess valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Position may require driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle for social and other activities).
• Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Company’s Motor Vehicle Policy standards.
• Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; includes utilization of iPad/tablet and other technology devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned Engage Life programs and develop daily, weekly, and monthly plans.
• Keep residents connected to one another, the community, hobbies, and external activities.
• Teach and lead exercises and assist with fitness equipment use.
• Engage residents with spontaneity, purpose, and strength to boost participation; assist apartment-bound residents.
• Welcome new residents and introduce them to others with similar interests.
• Implement Company designed programs as outlined.
• Inform residents of activities and publish a current events calendar.
• Create monthly program calendars within company timelines.
• Support Operations to achieve customer satisfaction scores.
• Open and close the community as scheduled and act as manager on duty.
• Engage in community public relations and prepare local publicity stories.
• Coordinate departmental needs and goals within budget.
• Hire/train/supervise and coach the Driver, coordinating transportation and events.
• Assist in recruiting/training volunteers where applicable.
• Plan parties/events and decorate the community for seasons and life events.
• Maintain clean, organized activity spaces and work area.
• May perform other duties as needed.
