Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Reno is looking for an Engage Life Coordinator to create and run programs that enrich residents’ lives and promote an active aging lifestyle. You will tailor opportunities with residents to bring delight to their day and may serve as manager on duty as needed.

You will lead activities, coordinate transportation and events, train staff and volunteers, and collaborate with residents to foster connection and engagement across the community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of related experience coordinating, planning, and executing group activities and events.
• Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing, with residents, staff, and vendors.
• Able to proficiently operate standard office equipment.
• Must possess valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Position may require driving responsibilities and use of company or personal vehicle.
• Proficient computer skills – Word, Outlook, Excel; includes iPad/tablet usage.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned Engage Life programs and develop daily, weekly, and monthly plans.
• Keep residents connected to each other and to the community, hobbies, and outside activities.
• Teach and lead exercises and assist with fitness equipment.
• Engage and motivate residents by incorporating spontaneity, purpose, and simple pleasures.
• Welcome new residents and help integrate them into activities with others.
• Implement Company programs as outlined and publish monthly calendars.
• Support operations to achieve customer satisfaction goals.
• Open/close procedures and act as manager on duty as required.
• Engage in community PR and coordinate with Support Center for local publicity.
• Coordinate departmental needs within budget.
• Hire, train, supervise, coach, and manage Driver positions; assist with volunteers.
• Plan parties/events and decorate the community for seasons.
• Maintain clean activity spaces; may perform other duties.
