Job summary

Trinity Health in South Bend, IN is seeking a part-time Community Life Aide to support recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs for residents. Working under the Community Life Director, you will help plan, implement and evaluate activities aligned with each resident's care plan and life history.

You will promote a warm, calm environment, interview residents and families to set meaningful goals, and coordinate with other departments to ensure activities run smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; chauffeur license desirable.
• Experience in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor.
• Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Trinity Sanctuary Values in interactions with residents, visitors, volunteers and associates.
• Assist in planning, development, and evaluation of community life activity programs.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain life history information for meaningful goals.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure activities run smoothly.
• Assist with transportation of residents as needed.
