Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Transportation Coordinator (Driver) for a part-time role in Illinois. The position supports medical, recreational, and resident transportation within the community and includes coordinating requests and ensuring vehicles are ready for service.

Responsibilities include driving on designated days, managing transport requests, and assisting with programming and operational tasks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
Must have a valid state Driver’s License (Class E in Missouri) and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.
Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides transportation services during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days (Tuesday and Thursday).
Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation to residents.
Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with guidelines.
Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
