Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities in Lombard, IL is seeking a Transportation Coordinator (Driver) to deliver a resident-focused transportation program. The role covers driving as well as coordinating schedules, communicating with residents, and providing operational support to the community.

You will safely operate community vehicles for medical, social, and personal trips, manage requests in the digital system, maintain vehicle readiness, and assist the Entertainment & Programming team with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
• Must have a valid state Driver’s License (Class E in Missouri) and a clean MVR.
• Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation services during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days.
• Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation to residents.
• Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.
• Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, and adherence to safety protocols and return schedules.
• During non-driving hours, provide community support as needed, including programming, interdepartmental support, and other operational tasks, maintaining consistent productivity throughout scheduled work hours.
