Job summary

PACS seeks a Social Services Director/Coordinator to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct our facility's social service programs in line with federal, state, and local standards.

You will collaborate with administration, medical and nursing staff, and other departments to ensure the psychosocial needs of residents are met with respect and dignity, and you will guide policy development and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedures.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from management and staff.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing social services.
• Meet with administration, medical, nursing staff and others to plan social services.
• Develop, administer, and coordinate department policies and procedures.
• Review policies annually and implement changes as needed.
• Coordinate social service activities with other departments.
