Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Physical Therapist in providing resident care and related activities. The position emphasizes accurate documentation, infection control, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve goals and safe discharge planning.

The PTA will educate residents and families on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safety techniques, while assisting with durable medical equipment orders to enhance resident

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Able to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and families.
• Strong math skills including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment per infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
• Assist nursing with training Restorative Aides.
