Job summary

Covenant Living of Cromwell in Cromwell, CT is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to provide campus cleaning and light maintenance. You will follow the established schedule, maintain floors, assist with the linen program, and support residents and staff.

The ideal candidate has some high school education, housekeeping or maintenance experience, good English communication, dependability, and an interest in working with older adults. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written.
• Dependability and common sense; ability to organize daily cleaning schedule.
• Interest in working with older adults; weekend availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning in assigned areas following schedule and infection control guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance including light bulbs, plunge toilets and change batteries as needed.
• Follow the established schedule; perform cleaning tasks inside and outside according to standards.
• Maintain floors: sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, polishing as scheduled.
• Assist in cleaning spills and deep cleaning during transfers/discharges.
• Move furniture as needed; assist in resident moves.
• Participate in linen program: distributing, collecting, counting, preparing for pick-up.
• Make beds in guest rooms or residences as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report repairs.
• Observe and report repairs to facilities, furniture, fixtures, etc.
