Job summary

Covenant Living of Bixby in Oklahoma seeks a part-time Housekeeper PRN to provide campus cleaning and minor maintenance services, supporting residents and staff. Responsibilities include routine cleaning, moving and setup, linen handling, and basic repairs under infection control guidelines.

The ideal candidate has some housekeeping or maintenance experience, strong English communication, and dependable, detail-oriented work ethic. Weekend availability may be required as part of shifts.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.
• Dependability and common sense, and the ability to organize daily cleaning schedule to finish each day’s assignment.
• An interest in and desire to work with older adults is desired.
• May require availability on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and infection control guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance including light bulbs, plunge toilets and change batteries as needed.
• Follow the established schedule; perform cleaning tasks inside and outside per department standards.
• Maintain floors with sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming and related tasks.
• Assist in cleaning spills and project cleanings (walls, ceilings, vents, etc.).
• Move furniture as needed and assist in resident moves.
• Participate in linen program and bed making as required.
• Observe repairs needs and report facility issues.
• Receive and stock campus supplies and assist with snow/ice salting as needed.
