Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to provide cleaning and minor maintenance across campus, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

The role involves following schedules, handling linen tasks, assisting in moves, and reporting repairs as needed. Weekend availability may be required; English communication and dependability are essential. Benefits accompany full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.
• Dependability and common sense, and the ability to organize daily cleaning schedule to finish each day's assignment.
• An interest in and desire to work with older adults is desired.
• May require availability on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas according to schedule and standards.
• Complete minor maintenance including light bulbs, plunging toilets, and changing batteries.
• Follow established schedule to clean indoor and outdoor areas.
• Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming and buffing as scheduled.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills and doing project cleaning like walls, ceilings and fixtures.
• Move furniture as needed and assist in resident moves when transferring or discharging.
• Participate in campus linen program and bed-making in guest rooms or residences.
• Observe and report repairs needed in facilities or furniture.
• Assist in receiving campus supplies and snow/ice salting as needed.
