Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to provide cleaning and minor maintenance across the campus, ensuring facilities are clean and in good condition for residents and staff.

The role requires ability to follow schedules, communicate in English, and work with older adults. Weekend availability may be required; a comprehensive benefits package is offered for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.
• Dependability and common sense, and the ability to organize daily cleaning schedule to finish each day’s assignment.
• An interest in and desire to work with older adults; weekend availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning in assigned areas following established schedule and standards.
• Complete minor maintenance such as changing light bulbs, plunging toilets and replacing batteries.
• Follow the established schedule to clean inside and outside areas.
• Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming and more.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills and handling project cleaning (walls, ceilings, vents, fixtures).
• Move furniture as needed and assist in resident moves.
• Participate in linen program including distribution, collection and preparation.
• Make beds in guest rooms or residences as needed.
• Observe and report repairs to facilities and equipment.
