Job summary

Covenant Living and CovenantCare at Home is seeking a Housekeeper to provide campus cleaning and light maintenance to support residents and staff. The role includes following schedules, assisting with moves, and maintaining cleanliness across areas, indoors and outdoors.

Ideal candidates have some high school education, housekeeping or maintenance experience, and good English communication. Availability on weekends may be required; benefits are provided for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written.
• Dependability and common sense; organize daily cleaning schedule.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with limited supervision.
• Interest in and desire to work with older adults.
• May require availability on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following schedule and standards.
• Complete minor maintenance such as changing light bulbs and batteries.
• Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming and more.
• Assist with resident moves and linen program as needed.
• Remove trash/recyclables and restock supplies.
• Deep clean rooms during transfers or discharges per standards.
• Observe and report repairs to facilities and furniture.
• Assist in receiving campus supplies and snow/ice salting.
