Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in all food functions within a care facility. You will support the dietician and kitchen staff, help prepare meals per residents' dietary needs, and ensure meals are served attractively and safely.

You will also maintain sanitation, assist with dishwashing, and follow all facility policies and procedures. Strong communication in English is required; prior experience is helpful but on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Some experience is helpful; on-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dietician, Dietary Management and Cook as requested.
• Help with meal preparation according to residents' dietary needs.
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing.
• Set up meal service and deliver meal trays and food carts timely.
• Follow established portion controls and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tables, refrigerators, and appliances.
• Dishwashing and cleaning of utensils; return clean items to storage.
• Dispose of garbage per facility regulations and assist in evacuations if needed.
