Job summary

Vitality Living is seeking a Culinary Services Director to lead daily dining operations, ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals and an exceptional resident experience. You will manage purchasing, budgets, and vendor relationships while upholding food safety and regulatory standards.

You’ll supervise the culinary team, engage residents and families, and contribute to community events and emergency planning. A culinary background with ServSafe and leadership in senior care is ideal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Culinary certificate or degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of Culinary Director experience in assisted living, memory care, or similar healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily culinary and dining operations ensuring exceptional service and resident satisfaction.
• Lead food purchasing, inventory management, vendor relationships, and budget controls for quality and cost efficiency.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, properly portioned and tailored to dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, temperature controls, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide hands-on kitchen leadership and maintain clean, attractive dining spaces.
• Engage with residents and families; lead monthly food committee meetings and address feedback.
• Supervise and develop culinary team; promote teamwork, safety, and company values.
• Support community events, emergency preparedness, and other operational needs.
