Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation while following sanitation guidelines and safety rules. You will assist with inventory and interact positively with residents and staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior cooking experience and ServSafe/food handler certification may be required by local laws.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
