Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation while following safety guidelines and sanitation standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, eligibility for required certifications, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior cooking experience and residency in the service area are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
