Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help deliver meals with quality, taste, and presentation that meet HCSG standards.

The role requires following recipes and dietary restrictions while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and positive interactions with residents and staff. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance is required.
• Lifts/carries up to 50 pounds and stands for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep the kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
