Job summary

Ecumen Countryside in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Cook to handle food prep, cooking and service while accommodating resident dietary needs. You’ll maintain clean work areas and follow facility policies to ensure high service levels for residents and visitors.

The role offers full-time hours with 6:30am-3:00pm or 10:30am-7:00pm shifts, 72 hours bi-weekly, and a competitive pay range. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, life and disability insurance, PTO and a 6% 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and policies including HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, and OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary service to residents, families and guests.
• Prep, cook and serve meals; operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Follow recipes and directions; adjust for portion sizes and leftovers.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies; notify supervisor if low.
• Keep work area clean, sanitary and organized; comply with regulations.
• Stock groceries; label, date and rotate inventory.
• Coordinate with department leaders for events and staffing.
• Ensure residents with special diets receive appropriate meals.
• Practice proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Collaborate with others in a demanding environment; support team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
