Ecumen Lakeview Commons in Maplewood, Minnesota seeks a part-time Cook responsible for proper food prep, cooking, and service tailored to residents' dietary needs. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and collaboration with the team to ensure high-quality meals and a welcoming environment.

Shifts include weekend and weekday coverage with a total of 44 hours bi-weekly; hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 plus a comprehensive benefits package for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Effective communication in verbal and written form required.
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary service to residents, families and guests, ensuring welcome and courtesy.
• Preps, cooks and serves meals; operates and maintains kitchen equipment; reports shortages.
• Follows recipes and production guidelines; manages portions and leftovers.
• Maintains inventory of food and supplies; informs supervisor of missing items.
• Keeps work area clean, sanitary, safe and compliant with regulations.
• Assists with stocking groceries; ensures fresh inventory and proper labeling.
• Collaborates with department leaders for events and adequate product/labor.
• Ensures residents with special diets receive appropriate food; accommodates requests.
• Demonstrates safety and sanitation techniques; supports team in a dynamic environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
