Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You’ll follow menus, ensure quality and safety, and maintain a clean kitchen while interacting positively with residents and staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred cooking experience. Vaccination policy compliance and ServSafe/food handler certification as required by state law may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Residency within the service area required.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
