Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Resident Dam and Tunnel Engineer to provide technical leadership, construction oversight, and field engineering support for a complex dam and tunnel program in Panama.

The role requires deep experience in dam, tunnel, underground or heavy civil work, with a focus on design review, constructability, QA/QC, inspections, and coordinating with Client and Contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, geotechnical, structural, or construction engineering.
• 15+ years of progressive dam/tunnel or heavy civil experience.
• Professional Engineer license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Verify works meet Employer’s Requirements and contract specs.
• Coordinate with Client, Contractor, designers and experts to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure QA/QC program implementation and inspection deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, risks, and technical performance.
• Provide training and guidance to engineers and inspectors.
• Review submittals and field conditions against designs.
