Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mid-Level Dam and Hydropower Engineer to join our Northwest team, delivering dams, hydropower, fish passage, and hydraulic steel projects across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. You will lead teams, engage stakeholders, and shape design strategies for water infrastructure with federal and utility clients.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with regional leadership, and support business development while guiding technical excellence in conveyance and reservoir storage

Qualifications

• Experience with USACE/USBR/FERC guidance for dams and hydraulics.
• Structural steel design and stress analysis for gates, bulkheads, and related equipment.
• Track record leading complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Dam, hydropower, and fisheries engineering as PM or discipline lead.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong design skills across contributing disciplines.
• Recognized with hydraulics and reservoir facility knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through complex, high‑visibility projects.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to align solutions with needs.
• Develop conveyance and reservoir storage designs reflecting community priorities.
• Mentor staff and shape project strategies.
• Coordinate with Northwest and California leadership on major water projects.
