Job summary

DSI Real Estate Group is seeking a dedicated Community Apartment Manager to lead our residential community on Madison's East Side. The role focuses on leasing, tenant relations, and day-to-day operations to deliver a positive living experience for residents.

The successful candidate will oversee occupancy, budgets, and reporting, while coordinating with vendors and the corporate office to ensure service excellence and timely repairs. A strong customer-service orientation is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in property management.
• Experience with a multi-building apartment complex is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and a track record for exceeding customer expectations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall operations and administrative management of assigned community.
• Oversee the leasing process, including conducting property tours, processing applications, preparing leases, and ensuring timely move-ins.
• Manage occupancy levels and implement strategies to maximize resident retention.
• Maintain a level of service excellence in interactions with residents, vendors, staff, and colleagues.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests.
• Generate and maintain lead management and availability reports.
• Cultivate and maintain community relationships, including connections with local businesses to explore potential tenant benefits.
• Assist customers and vendors to maintain efficient communication and relationships.
• Administer move-out, renewal, or eviction procedures per company standards.
• Inspect building and exterior common areas, document items on the weekly checklist, and ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
• Review and approve property-specific invoicing after work is completed satisfactorily.
• On a monthly basis, review the financial position of the community.
• Monitor and contact tenants to collect rent due.
