Job summary

Evergreen Real Estate Group is seeking a Leasing Agent to join our on-site team in Illinois. You will greet prospective residents, market available units, and guide applicants through the leasing process.

You will ensure documentation meets requirements and support a positive living experience for residents while collaborating with the property management team. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of on-site leasing/management experience, knowledge of housing programs, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years on-site property management or leasing experience.
• Experience in affordable housing programs (LIHTC, Section 8) preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospective residents and present apartments.
• Ensure leasing activities comply with housing laws and regulations.
• Conduct eligibility verifications and income targeting.
• Complete leases, applications, addenda, and communications.
• Enter applicant data in leasing software accurately and timely.
• Maintain leasing reports and organized paperwork.
• Support marketing through events, outreach, and surveys.
• Assist with outreach marketing while complying with state law.
