Job summary

Evergreen Real Estate Group is seeking an on-site Leasing Agent to welcome prospective residents, qualify housing needs, and guide applicants through the leasing process. The role ensures compliance with Fair Housing and other laws while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent resident service.

The position collaborates with the property management team to market communities, maintain unit readiness, and support move-ins with friendly, efficient communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years on-site property management or leasing experience.
• Experience in affordable housing programs preferred (LIHTC, Section 8).
• Illinois Real Estate Leasing Agent License required; obtain within 120 days if not held.
• NALP designation is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospective residents and present apartments professionally.
• Ensure leasing activities comply with Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA and laws.
• Complete leases, applications, income certifications, addenda, and resident communications.
• Enter applicant data in leasing software accurately and timely.
• Support marketing through events, outreach, and market surveys.
• Assist with move-ins, rent collection and communication with residents.
