Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator in Shreveport to foster connections with residents and plan engaging activities. You will develop calendars with residents and coordinate events with the leadership team to enhance community life.

Ideal candidates bring 1 year of experience coordinating programs for adults, a high school diploma or GED, and a preferred Bachelor’s degree in related fields. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of direct experience coordinating, planning, and executing programs with adults.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; commercial license may be required depending on community needs.

Responsibilities

• Uses a person-centered approach to build relationships with residents.
• Develops monthly calendars with residents based on their interests.
• Plans, coordinates, and executes community events in partnership with leadership.
• Arranges meaningful resident engagement opportunities outside the community, including driving a community vehicle.
