Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our construction management team for a Tidal Wetlands reconstruction project in Rockaway, Brooklyn, NYC. The role requires 5-10 years of experience and a strong background in municipal infrastructure and site development.

You will oversee General Contractors, ensure safety and permits, and coordinate with NYS DEC SWPPP/MS4 approvals. Proficiency with Procore, Primavera, MS Project, and MS Office is expected, with a NY PE preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in construction management or resident engineer roles.
• NY DEC 4-hour Erosion and Sediment Control Training Certificate.
• Experience with Procore/Primavera/MS Project and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical review of construction plans and changes for constructability and practicality.
• Oversee site safety, permit condition compliance, and coordination with agencies.
• Perform site inspections and prepare reports for DEC SWPPP and MS4 approvals.
• Manage contractor payment processes and adjust as needed.
• Lead meetings with client, agencies, and community to track progress and safety.
