Job summary

Arcadis in New York is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer/Senior Office Engineer with 10 years of experience to join our Water Division on a NYCDEP project in Yonkers. You will support the Construction Manager and Resident Engineer, oversee inspection staff, and review shop drawings and RFIs.

This role emphasizes leadership, safety, reporting, and effective coordination with contractors, design staff and authorities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Office Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer on NYC projects.
• EIT Certification is required.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction oversight and ARE/CM activities.
• Coordinate with design staff and respond to RFIs and shop drawings.
• Prepare reports, meeting agendas and minutes for project meetings.
• Supervise staff, manage timesheets, and mentor junior personnel.
• Ensure site safety and permit compliance throughout the project.
