Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Resident Engineer in New York City with 5–10 years of experience to support our NYC Parks tidal wetlands reconstruction project in Rockaway, Brooklyn. You will oversee and manage general contractor progress on site under supervision of the Project Executive or Project Manager.

The role emphasizes construction oversight, safety, RFI handling, and coordination with design staff and municipal agencies. NYC Parks and DEC SWPPP/MS4 familiarity are valuable.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer in NYC Metro area.
• NY DEC 4-hour Erosion and Sediment Control Training Certificate.
• Procore CMIS System, Primavera and/or MS Project and the MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction oversight and Resident Engineering on municipal projects.
• Prepare daily inspector reports and respond to RFIs and shop drawing reviews.
• Monitor contractor performance, schedule, cost and quality to stay on track.
• Review constructability of plans and changes for practicality.
• Ensure site safety, permit compliance, and coordination with agencies.
• Supervise ARCADIS staff and mentor junior team members.
