Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Resident Engineer in New York City with 5-10 years of experience to support our NYC Parks tidal wetlands reconstruction project in Rockaway, Brooklyn. You will oversee general contractor progress, liaise with design staff on RFIs, and ensure cost, schedule and quality targets are met, reporting to the Project Executive or Manager.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer in NYC Metro area.
• Familiarity with municipal infrastructure and site development.
• Experience overseeing construction progress and coordinating with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction oversight and Resident Engineering efforts on municipal projects.
• Prepare daily inspector reports and respond to RFIs, review shop drawings.
• Lead meetings with client, agencies and the community; monitor cost, schedule, and quality.
• Supervise Arcadis staff and support career development and timesheet approvals.
• Ensure site safety, permit compliance, and coordination with NYS DEC SWPPP / MS4 approvals.
